Br.F.Oliver Fernando ofs, a versatile personality with Charisma, Literature, History, Law,Education, Labour & Marketing Management, Fire Engineering, Sports, Extra Curricular Activities and Social Services. He is well versed in martial arts like Silambam, Adimurai and Kattakambu. He is a poet Laureate and wrote Kottil Muthal Kolgotha Varai (history of Lord Jesus from Crib to Cross) in poetic verse. He was awarded with Best Secretary in Lions Club, Active JayCee and got the Best Author for his book about MGR from World Tamil University from America.
He was born on 20th June 1952 in Tuticorin, the Pearl City in Tamilnadu which is familiar with the World Famous Basilica of Our Lady of Snows and the major port named after the great Freedom Fighter VOChidambaram Pillai.
He possessed 13 Master & Bachalor degrees and diplomas in various subjects. He completed his graduation in B.Sc Mathematics at Kamaraj College in Tuticorin. He was the Best Student and Best Orator. He was the College Champion and skipper in Football,Volleyball,Basketball, Kabaddi Athletic.and Chess. He was a University and State Player in Football and a National Referee. He was a coach in Football and Ball Badminton. He was a stage actor and singer and participated and conducted T.V programs. He was appointed as LDC in Tutitcorin Harbour Project and was promoted as Sub Officer in Fire Service. He worked Five Years and was the Commanding Officer for the Republic Day Parade. Then he was appointed as Supervisor in the Traffic Department and was promoted as Assistant Traffic Manager Gr.I. He worked as Gazetted Officer and retired in 2012. He and his wife Sr. Remola Rani were the resource persons of Worldwide Marriage Encounter right from 2003 to 2020 and conducted Marriage Preparatory & WWME Courses in Tamilnadu,Srilanka and Malaysia.
His wife Sr.Remola Rani, former Regional Minister of Tuticorin Region brought him to the Franciscan family. He joined SFO, Vested on 2nd October 2002 and professed on 2nd October 2003. He was elected as Formator in Our Lady of Perpetual Succor Parish fraternity in Lions Town. He was elected as Regional Minister in Tuticorin Region from 2003 to 2009 and was the co- ordinater of Tamilnadu SFO from 2006 to 2009. He was elected as National Councilor for Tamilnadu & Pondicherry from 2009 to 2013. He was elected as National Vice Minister from 2013 to 2016. He was appointed by the Presidency from Rome as the Provisional National Minister from 16th November 2016 to 18th October 2018. Again he was appointed as National Minister & International Councilor from November 2018 to 2024 January 13th and was elected as National Minister for the third successive term with over two third majority in first ballot in the Elective Chapter of India held at Velankanni known for the world familier Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health, Velenkanni and assumed office from 14th January 2024 & International Councilor for India. He established the new SFO Region at Shillong in Meghalaya. In his tenure 3 new regions in Syro Malabar area, one in Karnataka and 13 new regions in Tamilnadu were established and 5 emerging regions are created in Tamilnadu. During his tenure no. of Formation Programs were conducted in Tamilnadu,Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Ranchi and Meghalaya and one formation Program for Spiritual Assistants at National Level was conducted at Kollam, Kerala.

Br.Oliver Fernando and his wife Sr.RemolaRani attended the CCFMC SouthAsian Conference at Kandy in SriLanka in 2013. He attended the AFFI meetings in Pune in Maharashtra, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Orlonghuda in Meghalaya. He attended the South Asian Congress Meet at Bali Island in Indonesia in 2018.
He is the National Minister and International Councilor from 16th November 2016 to till date.
Born on 02.04.1956. He is a graduate in economics and a Post graduate in History. He married Dr. Jaseentha is a professor at Nirmala College at Muvattupuzha. He has two daughters and one son all married. He worked as Development Officer in Life Insurance Corporation of India and now retired on superannuation. He joined as Franciscan at the age of 16 at Mundoor St. Mary’s Church and was active for four years. Due to occupation he left his hometown.
He was very active in Church Activities in his younger age. He was the Diocesan Secretary of Kerala Catholic Youth Movement of Thrissur ArchDiocese from 1984 to 1986. He served in the Leprosy Colony run by OFS at Wadakkanchery for two years. He served as Catechism Teacher for five years at St. Mary’s Convent, Mundoor and he was member of St.Vincent De Paul Society for Six year too..
He renewed his membership in SFO on 03.05.2015 at Nirmalamatha Church Fraternity and was professed on 19.12.2015 at St.George Forane Church, Vazhakulam. He was elected as Diocesan Minister of OFS on 10.02.2018. He was appointed from the Presidency as National Councilor for Syro Malabar Area from 16th November 2018. He was elected as National Vice Minister from 14th January 2024 in the elective Chapter held at Velankanni for a three year term.
Born on 4th May 1955. Joined SFO, Vested on 2nd October 1981 and Professed on 3rd October 1982 at Santhome Basilica,Chennai. He was a graduate in B.Pharm. He was elected as Minister in Fatima Church OFS fraternity in 1989, Coimbatore and was the Diocesan Secretary. He was the Tamilnadu Secretary from 1990 to 1993 and from 1993 to 1999 he was elevated as Tamilnadu President. Twice he was the Regional Minister of Coimbatore Region and six times elected as the National Councilor for Tamilnadu & Pondicherry . Two times he was elected as National Formator. He was elected as the National Formator and substitute International Councilor in the National Elective Chapter held on 14th 2014 January at Velankanni for a three year term. He is the founder and chairperson of the Jesus the Redeemer Ministry for decades.
Sr.Irene born on10th June 1956. She is a degree holder in Science and Education. As a B.Sc ; B.Ed graduate she worked as a teacher in higher Secondary School and retired. She joined SFO in 1993.Twice she was elected as Shirva Regional Minister. She was elected as Area Councillor for Karnataka and served from 2006 to 2010. Again she was elected as National Secretary from 2010 to 2012. She was appointed by the Presidency as National Formator from 2018 to 2023 and conducted formation programs in Mumbai, Coimbatore, Pamban Vilai, Mangalore, Shirva, and Udupi areas in Kannada. Kongani and English. She was elected as National Secretary in the Elective Chapter held at Velankanni on 14th January 2024 for a 3 year term.
Br.C.Mark Antony born on 9.05.1960. Joined SFO, vested on 03.12.1980 and Professed on 05.12.1982. Now he resides at Trivandrum after retirement from ISRO. He was the local fraternity minister from 1988 to1990. Elected as Valiathura Regional Minister from 1990 to 1996 and served as Regional Formator from 1996 to 2001. He was elected again as Regional Minister from 2001 to 2007. He was the Trivandrum Diocesan OFS Coordinator from 2007 to 2013. Further he held the office of the Kerala Latin Area Coordination Secretary from 2013 to till now. He was elected as the Area Councilor for Kerala Latin from 2016 and was appointed as Area Councilor by Presidency from 2018 and was elected as National Treasurer from 14th January 2024 in the elective Chapter held at Velankanni for three year term.
